HCM Update: Rev. Pennings will be leaving on Monday, June 3, for a two week trip to Guatemala and El Salvador. In Guatemala he will be visiting four new centres that have been opened up by a new MINTS contact. I’ll also be officiating at the graduation of 4 students at an existing Centre in Guatemala and 5 students in El Salvador, each of them with a Bachelor’s of Theology. Please pray for travelling safety.

CLASSIS MICHIGAN SPRING MISSONS RALLY

DATE: Thursday evening May 23
TIME: 7 pm
LOCATION: Trinity United Reformed Church
SPEAKER: Rev. Nathan Brummel
TOPIC: "The Mission of the Church in the Vast Archipelago of
Correctional Institutions."

Rev. Brummel will tell us of his work as instructor in a unique ministry, a
Reformed Seminary inside the walls of a prison. His students: inmates.

There will be refreshments and a time to speak to Rev. Brummel following
his presentation.

HCM Update: Rev. Pennings will be travelling to Nicaragua from April 15-29. During this trip he will be spending the first week in the east coast region and the second week in the mainland region. On the east coast the Nicaragua country coordinator will be accompanying him to existing centres and introducing him to new areas where there have been requests for leadership training. He is hoping to get into the main prison on this trip again. He also will have the pleasure of officiating at the graduation of 20 students in two different centres. Please pray for safety in the travels.

The Classis Michigan Missions Committee (CMMC) Spring Missions Rally for 2013 is coming soon! Rev. Nathan Brummel will be speaking at Trinity URC in Caledonia, Michigan on May 23 at 7pm. (Note the date change from April 25 if that's what you had down.)

Never been to a Missions Rally? Listen to the MP3s available on this site, then share what you've heard with family and friends and come on out. We'd love to have more people excited about the church planting and missionary work God is doing and would have us join in.

Dear Supporters of Hispanic Christian Ministries:

The Hispanic Christian Ministry Committee met last night to go over our year-end finances and to set our budget for 2013. As of November 26, our ministry expenses for the 2012 calendar year have exceeded our income by about $30,000. We have been blessed with some reserve funds but this situation is depleting those reserves significantly. We trust that the Lord will provide to allow us to finish up the year with a balanced budget. I would ask churches to please submit any collections that have not yet been sent in. I would also ask individual donors to please remember HCM in your year-end giving.

May the Lord bless you during this Christmas season.

HCM Update: Rev. Pennings will be leaving on a ministry trip to Nicaragua and Belize from November 8-19. In Nicaragua he will be visiting with existing MINTS Centres and also visiting a new Centre that has been started by an existing Centre. It’s exciting to see students make contacts and start new Centres at their own initiative. In Belize I will be following up on a Spanish-speaking church contact who have requested to start a Centre through a student in Guatemala. Thank the Lord for the growing number of MINTS Study Centres.
