Dear HCM Supporters:

Please be in prayer with me for two things:

1)       Honduras - I am planning another ministry trip for August 10 to 24. The second part of that trip will be to Guatemala, and that trip is in progress. But the first part of the trip (Aug 10-17) was scheduled to be a visit to Honduras. Honduras has been much in the news the last month or so because of a political coup that has taken place there. My students are advising me that this is not a good time to make a trip to Honduras for security reasons, so I have postponed it till later in the year. Please pray for a measure of stability to be returned in Honduras so that the ministry of MINTS can continue there. Please pray for safety of those involved with MINTS. Thank the Lord also for several students in Honduras who are teaching MINTS courses to other students. The ministry continues there through them.

2)       El Salvador – Thank the Lord for progress being made in El Salvador. I am preparing one of my students to become the first country coordinator in Central America. José Jesús Ramirez is from El Salvador originally. He has been a student of mine in Toronto, and recently completed his Masters in Theology with MINTS. He is in the process of moving with his family to El Salvador to serve full time as the MINTS coordinator there. Last Friday he returned from a 3 week trip and I am impressed with how the Lord is using him in the development of leaders through MINTS there already. He opened several new Centres and taught several courses. He also met with some obstacles, including an impostor who is falsely posing as a representative for MINTS, identifying me as the one who appointed him, and selling MINTS degrees!. Brother José represented MINTS on this trip with amazing maturity and wisdom. Please pray for his transition to El Salvador.
